About Me
Welcome to Home Cooking with Marcella! I am a home cook with absolutely no formal training whatsoever. I was trained by my mother and the generations before me to cook with my heart, and feed friends, family and strangers alike with all the love in my soul. That's why I put my heart and soul into every dish I make. As a first generation American who takes great pride in my cultural traditions and foods, I created this website to show appreciation and gratitude for my Sicilian roots. My goal is to share with you my Sicilian passion for cooking and to show you just how EASY and FUN it can be!
In addition to sharing my favorite Sicilian dishes, I also offer personalized and group cooking tutorials in the Metro-west Boston area as well as small group private chef dinner parties (up to 10 people). If you are interested please contact me.
My Why
Food is my love language, and I use it to express my love and pride for my Sicilian heritage, my relentless love for my family, and my apreciation for the long lineage of great Sicilian cooks who have taught me everything i know- My mother, my aunts, my grandmothers, and all those who taught them- my family history is woven in the tapestry of my culinary creations- and this inspires me to continue to learn more, and to teach my daughter so that we can keep the culinary legacy alive in our family
